I think they've released some new software for managing Logitech devices, so it may look a lot different for you. You can now save/close, and the button should now fire off that key combo whenever you press it. It should now show the key combo you just pressed. The reboots only happens if I turn off my display (which I do if I leave my computer for a bit) into which the Logitech dongle is attached, as my computer is on the floor. I'm not quite sure how to explain things, but I've had window sizes of various, unrelated software resize itself or forget certain settings after the system glitches and reboots.
